The Redhawks came out hot with 4 straight hits and 2 runs to lead off game one, but would not score again. B.J. Kittle allowed only 7 hits while striking out 6 to earn the victory. Travis Peters took the loss but did not get much help either offensively or defensively. Overbey and Connolly had multi-hit games for the Redhawks. Ray Michael led the attack for Bumpy Oak with 2 hits and 3 RBI. Tommy Sellers and Clint Sanders also recorded a pair of hits.

Game 2 was was much closer than the first. With the score tied at 2 in the 6th Rich Lehosky belted a 2-run shot in what ended up as the winning runs. The Redhawks committed 5 errors which resulted in 3 runs. Of the 5 Redhawk hits 3 of them and both runs came from Elliot Cardano. Now the Redhawks must wait and hope for a Western Charles sweep of St. Mary's on Tuesday for the final playoff spot.

Bumpy Oak had a six-run fourth inning to defeat Combine in the nightcap of the doubleheader. Ray Michael had the big blow of the inning, a 3-run HR. Michael finished the day 2-for-3 with 4 RBI and a SAC bunt. Mike Finamore, Jaime Wright, and Lance Martin all had two hits for the winners.
Mike McAllister hit a solo homerun for Combine. Tommy Sellers pitched five innings for the win, his second victory of the weekend. Sellers allowed two hits, two runs, two walks, and had one strikeout. Jerry Michael pitched two innings of shutout relief to preserve the win.

Danny Lydon improved to 4-0 throwing a complete game shutout to beat Legion 4-0. Lydon also had 2 hits and an RBI at the plate. Overbey continued to swing a hot bat sending one over the right field wall in what turned out to be the game winning runs. The Redhawks have now won 5 of their last 7 games as the race for the final playoff spot tightens.

The Redhawks won their third straight game as they came out of the gates quickly in Game 1 Sunday scoring 7 in the first 2 innings. A combination of steals, bunts and infield hits gave Danny Lydon all the support he needed to earn his third win of the season. Travis Peters, Darren Sanders and Mike Zippi all had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI. Steve Zumpano stayed hot for St. Mary's recording 3 more hits to add to his 2 from Saturday.

Kevin Franc got his first win of the season as St. Mary's ended their 5 game losing streak holding off the Redhawks 7th inning rally to win 4-3. Trailing 4-0, the Redhawks scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning before Jason Bean shut the door with a one-pitch save effort.

St. Mary's won game 3 of the series as Kevin Franc kept hitters guessing until the final inning. Seth Overbey pitched a great game, only allowing 2 earned runs over 7 innings of work. Down 4-0 in the bottom of the 7th the Redhawks strung together a few hits to bring the score to 4-3. The rally was stopped short by Jason Bean, who earned the save leaving the tying run left on second. Peters, Zippi, and Overbey all had 2 hits in this game as well.

Chris McNey earned his fifth win of the season allowing only four hits in a complete game shutout performance. Saturday's game marked the beginning of a closely matched 3 game series between St. Mary's and the Redhawks. Travis Peters earned his first win of the season going 6 innings allowing 3 runs. He helped himself out at the plate as well with a pair of hits and a run. Seth Overbey, Tyler McConnell and Dennis Anderson both has a pair of hits as well. The game ended as the tying run was thrown out at the plate with a perfect relay from Josh Keissling and Darren Sanders. Dan Sidorowicz pitched well before tiring keeping the Redhawks scoreless through the first 5 frames.

Bumpy Oak pulled off a sweep scoring three late runs and beating Waldorf 3-2. Lance Martin had the deciding hit with a 2-run triple in the 5th inning, and then scored on the play when the throw to third sailed out-of-play. Martin had two hits in the game and Clint Sanders added the only other Bumpy Oak hit. Jerry Michael picked up the win in relief of Tommy Sellers. For Waldorf, Blair Bowman picked up the tough loss with a three-hitter in 4 innings of work. Joe Austin threw the last two innings. Jose Guttierez led the offense with two hits. Extra base hits included Martin's triple for Bumpy Oak and doubles by Waldorf's Jose Gutierrez and Dan Mahoney.

Down by two runs in the bottom of the 9th, Combine scored three runs to defeat Bumpy Oak 8-7. Bill DeAtley pitched all nine innings for Combine. Jon Bass, Rudy Carrico, and Eddie Henderson each had two hits for Combine. Bass had 3 RBI and Dave Cross contributed with 2 RBI, . Aaron Michael, Ray Michael, and John Lee each had two hits for Bumpy Oak, with Lee leading the way with 2 RBI. The teams combined for 8 extra base hits, a triple by Mike McAllister and the rest doubles - Bumpy Oak = Aaron Michael, Ray Michael, Mike Finamore, Rob Adams. Combine = Jon Bass, Eddie Henderson, Dave Cross.
Mike McAllister led off the 9th and stretched a double into a triple when the umpire called him safe under a tag at third on what Bumpy Oak thought to be a controversial call. Danny Lee walked, and Jerry Michael came in relief for Tommy Sellers.
Jon Bass ended up on third after scoring McAllister and Lee with a double and an error. With the score tied, no outs, and the winning run on third, Michael intentionally walked Carrico and Henderson to load the bases. Michael then induced two ground balls to force runners at the plate. On the second force-out at home, Ray Michael attempted to throw out Dave Cross (the batter) at first to complete an inning-ending double play; however, the throw glanced off Cross' arm and rolled away as Henderson scored the winning run.

The Redhawks notched their first ever series victory by beating Waldorf 6-5. Danny Lydon recorded his second win of the season allowing 2 runs in 8 innings of work and striking out 8. Seth Overbey and Dave Lydon each had a pair of hits and Bob Connolly scored twice. Waldorf made an attempt at a late comeback with 3 back to back hits and a homerun by Tommy Madison to bring it within one. Travis Peters managed to close the game down and earn the save. St. Mary's dropped their third game on the weekend losing to Legion 12-4 at Legion Field on Sunday. Billy Wathan pitched the complete game walking 2 and striking out 1. Chris Nevitt was 3 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Four other Legion hitters had multiple hits on the afternoon. Gary Thomas and Greg Newkirk each had 2 hits for St. Mary's.

The first game of the doubleheader came down to the very end with the Redhawks scoring 2 in the top of the 7th and leaving the bases loaded after a questionable call at first base. John Ford pitched a complete game for the win and doubled off the left field wall to help his cause. Darren Sanders and Travis Peters recorded 2-hit games for the Redhawks and Chris Connolly played a great game defensively.

Travis Peters had another 2-hit game for the Redhawks to go along with a run and 2 stolen bases.

After a 7 week layoff due to weather St. Mary's returned to the field of play last Saturday losing to Combine 6-3 in the first game of the doubleheader. Steve Zumpano had multiple hits also going 2 for 3 with a double for St. Mary's.

In the second game of the doubleheader Combine defeated St. Mary's 2-0 as Bill DeAtley pitched a 4-hit shutout for the win. Morgan Fields was 2 for 2 with a double and 1 RBI. Kenny Williams pitched well in the loss, going the distance, walking 1 and striking out 8 Combine hitters.

Western Charles defeated the Redhawks in a 10 inning affair 2-1. Mike Ballenger pitched strong for Western Charles allowing only one run in 8 2/3 innnings of work. Dan Lydon was equally effective by only allowing one run in 8 innings. Ian Caballero drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th. John Klopfer III, Ian Caballero, and Tony Stefko each went 2 for 5 in the game for Western Charles. Dan Lydon and Bob Connolly each went 2 for 5 for the Redhawks.

Game 1 was a pitchers duel with both Danny Lydon and Mike Ballenger holding the opposing team scoreless through 8 innings. Lydon pitched great again allowing only 7 hits and striking out 3 without allowing an earned run. Second half addition Derek Wright scored the only run for the Redhawks in
the top of the 9th inning as the team left 9 stranded throughout the game. A costly error in the bottom of the 9th opened the door for Western Charles' 10th inning score.

In Game 2 the two team managed to score more in the first inning than in the previous games total.

Kyle Gallo had to be taken out after a shaky start due to an elbow injury. Travis Peters came on and did a great job in relief giving up only 1 hit and 1 earned run in 6 innings of work. The Redhawks struggled again to score runners, leaving 10 on base for a total of 19 in the doubleheader. Danny Lydon and Bob Connolly both finished the day with 3 hits a piece.

Justin Hill, Jason Boyd, Mike Madison and Joe Walker all had run scoring hits for Waldorf.
Danny Lydon was also huge at the plate in game 2, going 2-3 with an RBI and another pair of doubles.

Bumpy Oak defeated Waldorf 8-3 during an opening-day game Waldorf hosted at Legion Field.

Umpires failed to show for the game; therefore, Barney Gayon umpired behind the plate and Tony Sweeney did the bases.

Bobby Rawlings was the offensive star of the game going 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a double, and four RBI.

Aaron Michael, Ray Michael, and Clint Sanders (making his Bumpy Oak debut) each had multiple-hits. The Bombers had 12 hits in all.
Waldorf managed three hits off of the combination of Jerry Michael, Tommy Sellers, and John Lee.

Jerry Michael pitched six innings, giving up two hits to Jason Boyd, and one to Joe Austin.

Boyd's 2-run double in the 6th was Waldorf's biggest blow. Tommy Sellers pitched 2 perfect innings and struck out three. John Lee finished on the hill in the ninth inning and struck out the side.
Jason Beall took the loss for the Phillies. He was relieved by Joe Austin. Jason Boyd and Chris Boyce both saw action on the mound for the Phillies as well.

The Redhawks experienced some early season woes last weekend, committing 6 errors and hitting into 4 double plays against Western Charles. Unearned runs in the third and ninth innings led to the most damage.

The game also featured 18 walks and 19 strikeouts.
Ian Caballero led the way for Western Charles reaching base in all 6 plate appearances including a 3 for 4 day with 4 RBI and a 3-run homer in the third. Chris Hood also went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI. Matt Wojtkowski allowed 2 runs on 1 hit and struckout 5 in 5 innings of work to get the win.
