Kevin I dont know who the bomber guy is but I wanted to make things clear so everyone knows what happened. The guy that pinch hit for Clint was Poyner and he is a lefty. Im not going to try to explain why they pinch hit for Clint because thats not my place. When he pinch hit there was one runner on base and he made the third out. He got one more at bat in the 9th with a runner on that was it.

I could see putting in a righty hitter instead of the lefty hitter if that righty hitter hits RHP better. I just dont see who would be better than Clint in that situation. Thats all Im wondering. The only times you are making a smart move pinch hitting a lefty for a righty to face a RHP is if that righty has a better shot at coming up big. I just dont see who has a better shot than Clint unless maybe Darren which Im sure he was already playing. And I played four years of D1 ball so Ive been around plently of situations

First off I want to clear up that I am not saying Bumpy was throwing the game, I just dont like the smart thing to do comment backed up with anyone who knows the game would know that. Anyone can feel like a pinch hitter could do the trick. that is fine. But situationally you dont put in a righty hitter to face a righty. Thats the opposite. Plus Ive seen Clint own righties.

Smart move? First off pinch hitting a lefty hitter to face a right handed pitcher is the smart move not righty vrs righty. Everyone knows that. Second Clint is the best hitter on that team. proven by his 16 trophies he had to carry out after the banquet last year. Why would you ever pinch hit for him unless youre stoppin someones ass. two quarters more than last year for a beer is not that big of a deal people at any bar or resturant you would have to pay 3 to 5 bucks for a cold beer this is 2009 and the economy is bad but if you cant afford to spend 2 quarters more for a beer then you shouldnt be drinking in the first place

WC runs the stand but they do a lot of field maintenence and behind the scenes things with that money that makes for an enjoyable day at the field. And remember, NO BEER COOLERS! Thanks much.

No one ever wants to lose three guys like we did but with all do respect to those three guys...we picked up some very good ball players from st marys college. With a very young team its going to take some time for us to get it together but don t be surprised of some upsets this year from Combine. We are being looked over right now, and if I recall we were looked over last year too.

When did Legion and Combine join teams? Who will Combine have playing for them - three of their best are now with Legion. I heard Western Charles got another ex-pro pitcher. So, who is considered the ace of that staff - and who will be the number one and get the start in their first game? New guy, Matt (another ex-pro) or Harley (Western Charles work horse and most consistent) - Nick?
