May 11, 2008 St. Mary's - 10 Waldorf - 1 WP: Greg Conden LP: Tony Grimes Submitted by St. Mary's St. Mary's improved to 4-2 with a 10-1 win over Waldorf at St. Mary's College, again behind the pitching of Greg Conden (3-1) who threw 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, walked 3 and struck out 8. Ryan D'Antuono picked up his first save of the season. Tony Grimes took the loss for Waldorf. Offensively for the Door, Drew Willard went 3-3 with an RBI and 3 runs scored, Chris D'Antuono went 2-4 with an RBI and Jacen Killebrew went 2-5 with 2 RBI's, a run scored with a double. For Waldorf, Luke Travathan went 2-4 with 2 stolen bases.

May 3, 2008 St. Mary's - 12 Waldorf - 2 WP: Greg Conden LP: Luke Travathan Submitted by St. Mary's St. Mary's improved to 2-2 with a 12-2 win over Waldorf behind the pitching of Greg Conden, who scattered 8 hits over 7 innings while striking out 9 and walking 1. Offensive leaders for the Door were John Spinnenweber who went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored; Steve Zumpano who went 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored, an RBI and a triple, and Chris D'Antuono who launched his first home run of the season going 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Garnell Young led Waldorf offensively going 2 for 3 with an RBI and 2 doubles.

April 27, 2008 Combine - 3 St. Mary's - 2 WP: Paul Burch LP: Bill DeAtley Submitted by St. Mary's Combine came away with a 3-2 win in a pitcher's duel between Kevin Burch (7IP, 2R, 4H, 5BB, 8K) and Greg Conden (5IP, 2R, 5H, 7BB, 5K). St. Mary's only scoring came in the 3rd inning. Steve Zumpano singled and advance to second on a Drew Willard sacrifice bunt. Jason Bean walked and both he and Zumpano scored on a double by DH Jim Tanavage. Combine tied the game with 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th on a 2 RBI single by Kevin Burch that scored Dave Russell and Ryon Rabon (both had reached on base hits). Bill DeAtley relieved Conden in the 6th inning and retired the side in both the 6th and 7th innings. Paul Burch relieved Kevin Burch in the top of the 8th and gave up a lead-off double to Jim Tanavage. Joe Drury popped out to second for the first out of the inning. John Spinnenweber then reached first on a walk, but Combine got out of the inning when Brad Newkirk hit into a 6-4-3 double play. Combine took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th when lead-off batter Kevin Burch reached first on his second base hit of the game, stole second base, advanced to third on Paul Burch's sacrifice bunt and then scored on a sacrifice fly by T.C. Renner. Randy Bond relieved Paul Burch in the top of the 9th inning and struck out 3 of 4 St. Mary's batters he faced, while Bill DeAtley suffered the loss. Kevin Burch was Combine's offensive leader, going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, a stolen base, and scored the game-winning run while Jim Tanavage led St. Mary's going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 2 doubles.

April 19, 2008 Legion - 12 St. Mary's - 2 WP: Stephen Williams LP: Greg Conden Submitted by St. Mary's Legion defeated St. Mary's 12-2 in 7 innings on the combined no-hit performance from starter David Vuening and reliever Stephen Williams. Vuening went 4.1 innings, walked 4, struck out 3 and gave up 2 runs on no hits and Williams went 2.2 innings allowing no runs on no hits, walked 2 and struck out 4. Greg Conden suffered the loss for St. Mary's. Offensive leaders for Legion were Tim Ritter who was 2 for 3, 2 runs scored with an RBI with a double; Jacob Cooksey who was 3 for 4 with a run scored and one RBI and Ian Cabellero who was 1 for 2 with a run scored, one RBI with a double.
Combine defeated Waldorf April 13, 2008 St. Mary's - 20 Bryans Road - 2 WP: Greg Conden LP: Ryan Leonard Submitted by St. Mary's St. Mary's Door began their 2008 campaign with a 20-2 win over Bryans Road in a run-rule contest at Swann Park. Door starter Greg Conden picked up the win in his first outing of the season, allowing only 2 runs on 3 hits with 4 walks while striking out 7 in 5 innings of work. Brandon Myers relieved Conden in the 6th, giving up 1 hit, no walks and allowing no runs, and Bill DeAtley picked up his first save of the season by retiring the side in the 7th. Offensive leaders for St. Mary's were Steve Zumpano who went 2 for 2, 3 RBI's, 2 runs scored with his first home run; Drew Willard who went 3 for 6, 3 RBI's, 3 runs scored with a double; Jason Bean who went 4 for 5, 2 RBI's, 3 runs scored with a double; Joe Drury who went 2 for 4, 3 RBI's, 2 runs scored with a double and John Spinnenweber who went 2 for 5, 2 RBI's, 2 runs scored with a double. Bryans Road starting pitcher Ryan Leonard suffered the loss but had a 2 for 3 day at the plate with an RBI and Jason Murray went 1 for 2 with an RBI and a double.
Western Charles - 5 Bumpy Oak - 3 WP: Harley Rice LP: Billye Hollister Submitted by Western Charles Western Charles went on top in the 3rd when Keith Wood doubled and scored on a B.J. Kittle single. In the top of 6th they added two more runs. Jason Boyd and John Kehres Scored on Nick Vitielliss single and an error. Bumpy Oak came back in the 6th. Ray Michael hit a solo HR and Bobby Rawlings hit a 2 RBI double to tie the game at 3-3. In the top of the 7th, Johnny Klopfer and Danny Lydon singled. Klopfer stole third and on the next play, Lydon took second. They both scored on Jason Boyd's 2 RBI single. Harley Rice got the complete game win with 3 strikeouts. Offensively for Western Charles, Klopfer was 2-5, Lydon was 2-4, and Boyd was 2-4. Offensively for Bumpy Oak, Ray Michael was 2-4 with the HR, Clint Sanders was 3-4, and Bobby Rawlings added 2 RBI.

April 5, 2008 Western Charles - 12 Bryans Road - 2 WP: Harley Rice LP: Nick Zurkan Submitted by Western Charles Harley Rice, Mike Boyce, and Danny Lydon combined pitching to allow two runs while the offense collected 12 runs against Bryans Road in the opening game of the season. Offensively for Western Charles, Danny Lydon was 2-6 with 2 doubles, a run and 2 RBI. Johnny Klopfer was 2-4 with a double, a run, and an RBI. Jason Boyd was 4-5 with a HR, a double, and 3 runs. Ryan Beach was 4-4 with a double, 4 runs, and 3 RBI. John Kehres was 3-5 with a HR, and 3 RBI. Offensively for Bryans Road, Ryan Leonard was 2-2 with an RBI and Jared Wood was 2-4 with a double and 2 runs.
